Boston’s Alt. Rock pioneers Letters to Cleo are excited to announce that their first three albums Aurora Gory AliceWholesale Meats and Fish and Go  will be available on vinyl for the first time ever. To celebrate the release of the vinyl the band will  be revisiting each of these albums from front to back  over a  three night run at The Paradise in Boston November 16-18th. Thursday November 16th they will be performing Aurora Gory Alice, Friday November 17th will be Wholesale Meats and Fish and Saturday November 18th will be Go. Blake Babies will be supporting on all three nights.  The vinyl is a limited edition pressing that will be available  exclusively at the three shows at the Paradise, on the Letters to Cleo website and at select Newbury Comic stores.

Ticket and vinyl packages will be available for pre-order on the Letters to Cleo website on Thursday (9/21). Single day and three day passes for the shows will be available on Ticketmaster.com on Friday 9/21 at 12pm EST.  “We have been hoping for a vinyl re-release of the Cleo catalog for years and with these albums having been made under an old record contract I wasn't confident it would ever happen,” says Michael Eisenstein. “Thanks to a lot of hard work, it's actually happening. We knew we wanted to do something special to commemorate this big 3 album vinyl re-release and when Greg (McKenna) suggested playing all three records in their entirety live, I shot it down right away. ‘It's too much work! You'll thank me later!’  The more he talked about it, the cooler the idea seemed. I'm pretty sure every song in our catalog has been performed live, but some only a few times and it's been 20 years or more.  It's an exciting challenge, that's for sure.”

Letters to Cleo formed in 1990 in Boston, lead by guitarist Greg Mckenna and singer Kay Hanley. The band came onto the National spotlight with the release of their first hit single "Here & Now,” released by Giant Records (a subsidiary of Warner Brothers Records). The song reached No. 10 on the Billboard Modern Rock Singles chart. The band’s music could be heard on many of the top TV shows and films throughout the 1990’s, including the cult classic 10 Things I Hate About You, where the band contributed 4 songs to the soundtrack and were feature in the film.  The band played their last show in 2000 and each of the members went on to have successful careers working in different areas of music from production, writing, performance, musical directing etc.

The original members reunited in the fall of 2016 for the release of the Back to Nebraska EP, their first new music from Letters to Cleo in seventeen years.  ABC News said “These five songs deliver exactly the kind of infectious power-pop that made them famous” and the Boston Globe said “It’s full of sweetly sour confections that recall the Alternative Nation era, like “Can’t Say,” which undercuts its sunshine-bright chorus with a growling bridge, and the brooding title track, which showcases lead singer Kay Hanley’s pensive side.”

In addition to performing the first three albums in full, the band will be playing fan favorites and new songs from Back to Nebraska.
