“It’s almost instinctual – that feeling of dread when we know the relationship is over and how it’s only a matter of time before the glass shatters. LA artist Dan Sadin is channeling that darkness into something a little sweeter today with ‘Here Comes The Heartbreak’...With this in mind, Sadin plucks soft strings with bitter intent, bearing the heavy weight of a heart breaking in real time.” –All Things Go

Los Angeles guitarist, producer and songwriter Dan Sadin has released “Here Comes The Heartbreak,” the latest single from his upcoming debut EP out June 22nd. Dan is best known for his work with electropop duo FRENSHIP with whom he records and tours with as their guitarist. This EP will see Dan stepping out into the spotlight as a solo artist for the first time with raw, honest songwriting paired with tender vocals and organic guitar sounds. As a seasoned musician, he has co-written and played on RIAA Platinum certified tracks and albums for artists such as Sabrina Claudio, Jessie Ware, MØ and more in the past.

“Here Comes The Heartbreak” is a deeply personal track for Sadin. After going through a heart wrenching breakup, the song was his way of expressing the gratitude and respect he had for someone who’d essentially changed his life. “Working on this song made me realize I don’t give enough value to my feelings,” says Sadin. I brush them off and make excuses. One of the reasons this relationship fell apart was my inability to get in touch with and communicate what I was feeling. I didn’t know how to let my guard down. I couldn’t be vulnerable, at least not until after the fact. It’s tough to do in a world where masculinity is valued by stoic machismo instead of emotional awareness and vulnerability. But this song has a tenderness that reminds me it’s ok to feel; to not keep it in, to embrace it, and let it out.”

The majority of the material on the EP is written from life experiences, born from short breaks between long tours, and Sadin found himself returning to the music of artists he grew up listening to like Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac and Bruce Springsteen. If there’s one word to describe Dan, it’s honest, and this sincerity emanates from his artistry, having found the perfect equilibrium of being a songwriter, singer and guitarist. The amalgamation of all three results in a unique musical style seamlessly intertwined in vulnerability. The songs that make up this  forthcoming EP are no exception. Heavily comprised of first takes and minimal productions, the album explores what it’s like to be young and figuring things out, and delves into the highs and lows of being in a relationship; but to him, “it’s just life.”

Dan is fresh off a tour run with FRENSHIP where he did double duty as their opening act, and handling guitar duties in their headlining show.
